They saved our lives! Our manic Daschund Chaweenie mixer originally went in STUNK on a regular basis and she was scratching constantly. We treated for fleas but had resolved ourself to her scratching being from her high anxiety level. We didn't know what to do about here smell other than try to keep bathing her; we were out of ideas. Dr. DeManuelle immediately recognized and said her smell and scratching was because she has skin allergies, and she had a bacterial infection which was what caused the incessant paw licking. We never knew that was a thing! After giving her some meds she stopped smelling like dumpster trash bag, and even stopped licking & scratching!!! We wish we could see them for every aspect of our pet care but we are thankful to have them. Amazing experience! Our cat was so sick but Dr. DeManuelle, Troi, and the rest of the team were so quick to provide solutions. They are knowledgeable, understanding, and kind! It made a scary situation manageable. Our cat is better than ever now and we only have them to thank! Our dog Luna suffers from allergies and when we had to find a new dermatologist, Dr. DeManuelle and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were able to get her on a medication regimen that cleared up her skin and has since been well managed on allergy serum that is specifically formulated for her!
I can’t express enough about how wonderful and caring Dr. DeManuelle is towards our chocolate lab, Muddie. We happen to have a lab with severe allergies, she’s even allergic to herself.
Dr. DeManuelle has been treating her for 10 years. Muddie comes up with new challenges often and Dr. DeManuelle always puts us in t right direction on how to treat her. Without Dr. DeManuelle’s expertise, Muddie would not be living the dog life she deserves. Dr. Terese DeManuelle, DVM, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology, has been seeing dogs, cats, and horses in the Portland area for more than 20 years.
She moved to Portland in 1998 and founded the Allergy & Dermatology Veterinary Referral Center (ADVRC). ADVRC provided specialized dermatology care for 15 years.
Seeking to provide innovative dermatology services to the Portland metropolitan area, she founded Northwest Animal Allergy & Dermatology in August 2018.
Dr. DeManuelle treats diseases of the skin, haircoat, ears, and feet of dogs, cats, and horses.
